We have been practicing this for a few years and although the first year the kids were a little disappointed with the lack of plastic (i guess :) Now it's a fun challenge and everyone has a great time. Guy gifts are always a little challenging... last year I made felt zipper/key fobs that looked like gremlins, knit hats, knit mittens, pajama pants (out of cool boy fabrics), boy's pillowcases, and I can't think what else. Boy projects are harder to come by, but they do exist. Have you ever looked around over at Sew Mama Sew? They usually have some great ideas, even for guys. :)M.E. I guess I would add fingerless gloves for girls (because I happen to be knitting a pair!), small felted bags, and felted tote bags made from re-purposed wool sweaters. Oh, another idea is to buy those tiny canvas tote bags at the craft store and decorate them with needle felting or embroidery and fill with dried lavender.

You're welcome for the shout out on my blog, and thank you for following my sister's blog!Stacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03023344268805812912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-296856653150597508.post-73127573302196752242009-11-30T16:49:33.608-05:002009-11-30T16:49:33.608-05:00Love the list! It's something I've always toyed with doing but never seem to get around too! Maybe I'll manage it when my kids leave home :D

x xPetehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00204477917014593561noreply@blogger.com
